I will design and elaborate on his AU threads VERY SOON I have a sketch, but it's irrelevant for now because prior to actually becoming a proper superhero he just wears grubby street clothes. Hoodies, jeans.... frequently he wears bandanas/scarves because he likes to hid his face when possible. He's not very fashionable. 

Origin story: Neku has always been a quiet kid; divorced parents who are both usually too busy to foster any sort of close relationship with him means a lot of free time unsupervised wandering the LA area. Having few friends and generally being too suspicious of others to fall in with a bad crowd, Neku sinks a lot of his energy into appreciating and practicing street art and grafitti, particularly admiring the mysterious street artist known as CAT.
At 13 years old he was HOSPITALIZED UNDER MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES after he was found comatose in a back alley.
The recovery period was lengthy and his memories of the incident (and the circumstances that caused it) are hazy to nonexistent. All he knows is that when he finally regains consciousness, he suddenly has psychic powers, much to his dismay. He has no desire to have these abilities whatsoever, and would elect to ignore them entirely if he could. Unfortunately these psychic abilities manifest themselves in many different ways, and along with moderately powered telekinesis, he also possesses potent empathic powers that he has little control over. He can "hear" the emotional vibes of other individuals and is extremely sensitive to even minute mood fluctuations.
This largely accounts for his typically sour and distant mood; being around other people brings a constant influx of emotional feedback that is very difficult to block out, and crowds are a nigh intolerable experience. To combat this he almost constantly wears extremely heavy headphones and listens to music to mute and drown out that input, electing to ignore the world around him as much as humanly possible.
Desperate to maintain the status quo, Neku now tries to return to business as usual…. little has changed with his parents after the accident, both of them working even harder to recover from the hospital fees, leaving Neku even more alone and unsupervised than before. Both parents live in large apartment buildings with noise levels essentially equivalent to those on the streets, so there is rarely any relief. Now at 15 he still spends his time wandering LA, trying to live life as he always has………

Personality: Neku takes the stereotype of the antisocial, jaded teenager to an extreme. He's often outwardly rude, extremely sarcastic in conversation, and becomes swiftly irritated when forced to deal with other people. Self preservation is a priority for him and generally he sees going out of the way to help others with their petty problems at own expense to be a sappy and useless thing. This isn't necessarily a byproduct of his ~tragic accident~ or resulting powers, as he'd always been a rather introverted and distant individual; rather, his condition just exacerbates it to an extreme, angst cranked up to 11 by a constant input of other peoples feelings. He is capable of forming bonds however, and in a case of life or death he would never leave even a total stranger to die. It's just that….. it takes quite a bit for him to trust anyone.

Differences from canon: Anything directly involving the setting of the Reaper's Game and the events that take place therein are not established (at least for now). His abilities have been adjusted quite a bit as well, in established canon he uses "psychs" using pins to create varying effects and has a much wider range of abilities. For the purposes of Capital H, he will be able to use psychic abilities without the assistance of pins, at the cost of a much more limited range of psychic effect. Canonically, we know nothing about Neku's home life or parents.

Power level: C (He has the potential to be higher than this but due to a lack of control over powers he's much less of a threat)

Powers: Neku possesses a basic level of psychic power that manifests itself in several ways. On a combat front he possesses fairly powerful psychokinesis that he can use to fling people and fairly heavy objects (about up to the size of a small car) around. He can also use this to hover about 6 inches off the ground and dash short distances, though full flight is impossible for him. A psychic "slash" or "psyshock" of concussive force is his primary offense. Mainly the use of these powers relies on his imagination and creativity, which he surprisingly has a lot of, so his combat style is largely unpredictable.

Team affiliation: None at the moment, but he could potentially be convinced to join the West Coast Trailblazers….

(The following is a prompt that Neku had to complete on the first day of a creative writing class, titled "How I spent my Summer Vacation and what I hope to accomplish this year. There's an entire section at the top with scratched out essay intro sentences, and then it settles to this)

I spent my summer living my life exactly how I damn well felt like it, which is none of your damn business. The rest of it was spent celebrating every day that I wasn't forced to be around the obnoxiously loud, shallow assholes that I'm forced to call classmates. The only thing that's going to keep me alive for the rest of this school year is knowing that I'll be able to escape from this shit hole eventually.
